Oral, Regular presentation – English

The touton weevil, Curculio toutonous Sweet (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) is a scourge endemic to insular Newfoundland and has menaced mankind almost as long as the fridge weevil (Curculio frigidus Goner). Populations of C. toutonous in touton fields in the Goulds, NL were surveyed for ten consecutive years. No weevils were parasitized, however, many were inadvertently eaten during unauthorized sampling of ripe toutons by ravenous students and their dogs.
